Helena is a freelance surface pattern designer and illustrator and has 20 years experience in various creative roles.

After graduating in textile design she worked in Europe specialising in knitwear design. She then managed her own business, producing contemporary greetings cards for small independent retailers and high street stores. While part of the greeting card industry Helena was nominated for a ‘Henries Award’ for three consecutive years in the ‘Most Promising Young Designer’ category.

After taking time out to have a family, Helena saw this time as an opportunity to pursue her ambition for drawing and digital design and began to combine her skills and knowledge to produce on trend patterns and illustrations for the younger markets.

Helena loves to work in a full range of media, both traditionally and digitally. Her love of colour and attention to detail bring her cute drawings to life and express a fun, feminine feel to her style. Living in Rutland with her husband and two children, she is surrounded by beautiful countryside providing an endless source of inspiration to her work.
